HOW TO UNPACK AND FLATTEN YOUR PRINT

DJ Meyer Art many times will often ship larger prints in a large tube. We recommend before opening the mailing tube to make sure your surface is completely clean and dry. After this, you can follow the step-by-step instructions below.

STEP 1: Identify The Endcap with the Open Here Label

You may see the sticker that reads "open here," Start by removing this endcap with a set of pliers, as they tend to be very difficult to remove. remove the contents and set the shipping tube aside for later.

STEP 2: Carefully Cut the Ends of the Protective Sleeve

Once you cut the ends of the protective sleeve, carefully start to unroll your artwork using books or weighted pillows on the ends to hold down your print and secure it in place. While holding the glassine paper in place, gently turn over your print and replace the weighted pillows on the ends. Take the mailing tube and start to roll the print around the outside of the mailing tube. Once the print is rolled completely over the mailing tube hold the tube in place with books or weighted pillow for approximately two hours.

STEP 3: Carefully Unroll the Print From the Outside of the Mailing Tube

Once your print has sat for approximately two hours, the final step is to gently unroll the print from the outside of the mailing tube. Carefully flip over the print and remove the glassine paper. Your Artwork is now flat, and ready to be framed.
